About Us

Our London based interiors studio specialises in designing boutique hotels, bars, restaurants and spas, as well as private residences. Over the years, New Heritage Design has delivered a host of high-profile interiors projects in the UK and abroad, ranging from grand Georgian manors to luxury treehouses.

Our bespoke service covers every aspect of interior design, including space planning, concept development, technical drawings, 3D renders, procurement and sourcing artwork.

For our commercial clients, our work also extends to styling detailed touchpoints, such as the tableware selection, staff uniforms and library curation. And we always design with operational issues in mind, as well as the guest experience.

We’re inspired by the theatre of design – the ability of an interior environment to add meaning to a place, and to shape the moods and mindsets of those within it.

By combining interesting layers of modern materials, alongside classic antiques, vintage finds and contemporary crafts, we create unique, imaginative and engaging spaces with soul.

Thanks to our extensive network of suppliers, we’re able to source heritage pieces, retro artefacts and rare originals to add depth and texture to our designs, ensuring no two spaces are ever the same.

Over the years, our considered fusion of past and present has helped our clients launch brands, win awards and reach new audiences, bringing warmth and personality to every space we work on.

We’d love to talk to you about how we can help bring your own exciting vision to life, so please do get in touch.

Hannah Lohan

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Hannah’s background is as unconventional as her approach. She began her career as a TV producer working on interiors programmes for the BBC and Channel 4, then graduated into event production and styling as director of her own company.

Having built a reputation for orchestrating beautifully designed events with imagination, seamless production and theatrical flair, Hannah undertook formal professional training at the Interior Design School in London. Here, she developed the skills needed to deliver design briefs of every size and scope .

This diverse career, coupled with Hannah’s wide-ranging exposure to the global hotel scene (thanks to many years spent working closely with her brother James Lohan, founder of boutique travel specialist Mr & Mrs Smith), has given her an informed but original perspective on design in the hospitality sector.

Whether restoring an English Georgian manor or reinventing a historic Edinburgh townhouse, Hannah and her team succeed in telling clients’ stories through colour, texture, material and an eye for subtle, considered details that delight and surprise.
